I have been a practicing Clinical Psychologist in Washington and Massachusetts for over 35 years. I began by specializing in child, adolescent, and family therapy before focusing more specifically providing a range of psychological services as the Seattle Police Department Psychologist. Beginning in 2001, I widened my practice to Public Safety providers – Police, Fire, EMT’s – as well as to a general adult patient population. As one can imagine, much of my work in Public Safety involved, in one way or another, issues of trauma and stress management. I work with individuals and couples, mostly adults. In general, I take a pragmatic, balanced, empathy-based, and empowering approach to therapy with my patients. Sometimes, life events have the impact to zap our reserves of confidence, resilience, and common sense problem-solving. I look forward to an opportunity to work with you in getting your life back on track.
